RENTING WITH PETS

Pet owners can often have trouble locating a rental home or apartment simply due to stringent rules that many owners have against dogs or cats. But did you know there are many things you can do to increase your chances of getting your buddy in the door? Most of our owners permit pets after reviewing a pet application.

The documents required to process pet applications: (1) Spay or Neuter Certificate, (2) a copy of County Pet License for dogs only, and (3) two photos of pet (one front and one side). Failure to complete or provide any of the required information will result in your pet being declined.

 
Owners may have different requirements but for our clients accepting pets, for any pet that is approved, a $75.00 non-refundable administrative fee per animal is required and additional non-refundable pet fee of a minimum of $350.00 per animal is required. There will be a pet management ee of $20 per and additional pet rent of $25 per month.  Each year you will be required to provide documentation that your pet has a current license and required shots. 

Only small to medium sized (under 40 lbs.), non-violent, common domesticated household pets will be allowed on any property that permits animals. Unless specific zoning laws permit, farm animals, snakes, other reptiles, exotic animals, and any large or aggressive animal will not be approved. Prohibited dog breed list: Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull Terrier, American Bulldog, Akita, Shar Pei, Dalmatian, Presa Canario, Doberman, German Shepherd, Chow, Husky, Great Dane, Alaskan Malamute, St. Bernard, Mastiff, Wolf hybrid, and mixed breeds of any of the above or any other breeds expressly prohibited by owner's home insurance policy will not be approved. Exceptions to the prohibited breed list may be granted for qualified service animals, licensed breeders, trained military/K9 working dogs, with a renter's insurance policy with liability coverage for the specific breed.
